The Vein Clinic of South Florida is located in close proximity to Miami, as well as the Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach airports. For varicose vein treatment we have seen patients from almost every state, and we regularly see patients from the Bahamas, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. Literature and albums with many before and after treatment photos are available for visitors to see without appointment at our Weston and Lighthouse Point locations. Consultations (and treatment) are by prior arrangement only and consist of a complete medical history, appropriate physical examination and Doppler studies for patients with varicose veins. Fees, insurance reimbursement, payment terms and, if necessary financing, and other matters required for informed consent are discussed at this time.
While duplex scanning and surgery are done only in our Lighthouse Point clinic facility, we have several office locations in the tricounty area where sclerotherapy and consultations are performed. Office locations are convenient to Interstates 95 and 75 from Miami to Palm Beach and are within 35 minutes from the Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach airports. The Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is the closest to our main facility in Lighthouse Point.
Patients coming from outside the immediate area for treatment of varicose veins should contact our office manager, Alanna Prudhomme as far in advance as practical. She will request pictures plus any medical evaluations or test results already performed. She will arrange an evaluation and treatment schedule that is expedient or to fit vacation plans. She can also recommend and help arrange lodging, if necessary.
Patients can be treated for bilateral varicose veins in as little as 24 hours. A follow-up visit after six weeks may not be needed but is certainly advised. Long distance travel is not as expedient for spider vein patients because treatment often entails more than one or two visits, usually at intervals of six weeks or more.
